Data & account deletion

1. Export Your Data

In the Zaya app, go to the Me tab, tap the Settings gear, and under Privacy tap Export my data. We’ll email you a copy of your data. You can also email privacy@zayalabs.com with the subject “Data Export Request.”

2. Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account

You can remove individual things from your Zaya account at any time, without closing the account itself.

Delete Photos of You

1. Open the Zaya app, go to the Me tab, and tap the Settings gear.
2. Tap My models.
3. Tap Delete on the photo you want to remove, and confirm.

Delete Looks, Pieces and Photos in Your Wardrobe

1. Open the Zaya app and go to the Wardrobe tab.
2. Press and hold the look, piece or photo you want to remove.
3. Tap Delete and confirm.

Remove Your City for the Weather

If you typed a city for the weather, go to the Wardrobe tab, tap the weather line on “What should I wear today?”, and tap Remove my city.

Change or Forget What Zaya Remembers

1. Open the Zaya app, go to the Me tab, and tap the Settings gear.
2. Under Privacy, tap What Zaya remembers. It lists everything Zaya keeps from your AI stylist chats.
3. Tap Edit to change one, or Forget to delete it.

Other Data

For data the app has no control for (such as AI stylist chat history, the days you marked that you wore a look, or specific interaction records), email privacy@zayalabs.com with the subject “Partial Data Deletion Request” and describe what you want removed. We will respond within 30 days, as required by GDPR and applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

3. Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Zaya account and its data at any time.

Option 1: In the App

1. Open the Zaya app, go to the Me tab, and tap the Settings gear.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. On “Delete your account?”, tap Continue.
4. On “Are you absolutely sure?”, tap Delete everything.

Deletion starts when you confirm: you’re signed out, and your account and the data listed below are deleted. Under our Privacy Policy, your photos, AI outputs and style attributes are removed from our storage within 30 days of your request.

Option 2: By Email

Send a request to privacy@zayalabs.com from the email address associated with your account. Include “Delete My Account” in the subject line. We will process your request within 30 days.

4. What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following:

• Account & profile information — username, email, date of birth, gender, height, size preferences and time zone
• Photos & avatars — all uploaded selfies, avatars, and processed images
• Chat history — all conversations with the AI stylist, including AI-generated memories and context
• Virtual try-on results — all try-on images, videos, cached results, garments, and backdrops
• Wardrobe, closet & wear log — saved items and outfits, the clothes you added to your closet, and the days you marked that you wore a look
• City for the weather — the city you typed and its approximate coordinates
• Links, asks & your circle — your share links and asks stop working, and your circle and what you sent or were sent are deleted
• Interaction history & preferences — likes, dislikes, feed impressions, and style preferences
• App analytics — the analytics profile linked to your account
• Login credentials — your authentication account is permanently removed

5. What Deletion Doesn’t Remove

• AI models trained before your request — photos and outputs used in a training round that finished before you deleted your account can stay reflected in the resulting model. A model can’t be un-trained for one person, and nobody’s photo can be recovered from it. Your data is left out of every later training round. See Privacy Policy Section 6.
• Backups, for a limited time — copies can stay in our backup and archival systems for a period after deletion before they are removed (Terms of Service Section 3). Your photos, AI outputs and style attributes are removed from our storage within 30 days of your request.
• Pictures you shared outside Zaya — links, asks and things you send friends in Zaya show pieces from the catalog, never your photo or a try-on of you. A picture of you that you previewed and shared yourself, for example to another app, stays wherever you sent it.
• A waitlist sign-up — joining the waitlist on our website is separate from your account. Use the Unsubscribe link in a waitlist email, or email us, to remove it.
• Legal and safety records — records required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution, including reports we are legally required to keep.
• Aggregated analytics — anonymized, aggregated figures that cannot be linked back to you.

In-app deletion starts when you confirm. Email requests are processed within 30 days. Once deletion is complete, your data cannot be recovered.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete your data (see above)
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of certain data processing
